Jen McEachen, a deafblind individual working in the field of emergency management, spoke to POPDB about the importance of literacy and how you can implement and integrate your student’s literacy skills with hands-on activities on preparing and mitigating for emergencies. Please note that the strategies Jen presented aligns with SD 38 (Richmond) emergency preparedness and mitigation guidelines.
