Transition from Secondary School to Adulthood
The Provincial Outreach Program for Students with Deafblindness has prepared a document that you may find helpful as a resource when BC students with deafblindness begin the transition from Secondary School to Adulthood. This document would be appropriate for school teams and families to use as a companion during the transition process.
POPDB recommends that school teams and families work with your district/school and Ministry for transition planning to determine what support and help is needed. Stay current with programs and links as they may change over time. Our document is not definitive; it is only a starting place for beginning the transition process with the needs around deafblindness in mind.
